The Wild Rooms Terms & Conditions​

The terms and conditions mentioned below apply to all bookings for The Wild Rooms made through this website. The Wild Rooms is a company registered as Amelhu Holdings in Ireland whose registered office is at Tara Hill House, Tara Hill, Gorey, County Wexford, Ireland  (hereafter “we” or “our”).

Pricing
All rates shown online are per person per room per night (unless otherwise stated). Rates are including VAT and excluding local tourism levies, if applicable. Rates are subject to change without notice. However, your rate is guaranteed once you receive a booking confirmation.

Payment
All payments must be made prior to arrival. Tara Hill Estate does not accept any cash payments or deposits. Therefore, payment must be settled by credit card, debit card, or bank card.  Online payment is possible using debit/credit cards.

We accept the following types of credit cards:
- EuroCard/MasterCard
- Visa
- Amex

Reservations
We will endeavour to provide you with the exact accommodation you have requested. However in the event that the accommodation is unavailable we will do our best to source the next available equivalent.

Children
It is not advisable for children under the age of 16 to stay at Tara Hill Estate though allowances may be made by request on the condition that our safety policy is signed. 

Guests with impaired mobility
Tara Hill Estate endeavours to offer the same high quality facilities to our less able bodied guests. However, at this time the cabins have restricted access due to the nature of their locations with single stee p uneven paths being the only point of access. Our Lodge accommodation is flat and open plan. However, the mezzanine bedroom is only available via a single spiral staircase which may limit some access. Guide dogs are welcome at Tara Hill Estate but such requests should be made beforehand at the time of reservation. Please contact Tara Hill Estate if you have any special requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Pets

Dogs (except assistance dogs) must be pre-booked and are not permitted in any building except your own accommodation. They must be kept on a lead at all times when outside your accommodation, and you must ensure they use the designated dog toilet areas. We do not accept any dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act. You must ensure that:

As a minimum, each dog has a current annual vaccination for distemper, canine hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvo virus; 

Each dog is properly supervised, is not dangerous and does not cause a nuisance or threat to anyone; 

When our staff need to visit your accommodation (eg. if you have requested a maintenance engineer) you take your dog(s) out while these visits take place and comply with any specific instructions provided to you. 

If we, in our sole and reasonable discretion, consider your dog to be dangerous or to be causing a nuisance, harm or threat to anyone, or to be likely to do so, we may ask you to remove it from the village (without refund or compensation) or have it removed to kennels at your expense. No other pets are permitted.

Car parking
We offer onsite, free but limited parking facilities. For information on parking availability and charges, please find more information on our website.

Smoking
Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping) is not permitted in any buildings (including accommodation) but is permitted in large open areas such as the carpark. In case guests do smoke in any rooms, a fine of €150 will be charged.

Arrival and departure
Rooms are guaranteed from 3:30pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

Pre-payments
All booking payments are made prior to arrival.

Security Deposit

We use a 3rd party site Swikly to manage our security deposits. The deposit per stay is €250 and is not taken from a card so your balance is not affected. The deposit is only taken in the event that the accommodation or items within the accommodation are damaged.

Complaints or comments
We take our guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at Tara Hill Estate should be made in the first instance to the management at the time of your stay so that we can resolve it immediately.

COVID safety

We take all necessary precautions with regards to ensuring our accommodation and facilities adhere to current COVID guidelines. This includes additional cleaning measures of all used internal spaces, and maintaining social distancing guidelines. In the event that any guests suspect potential COVID infection prior to their stay we request that they inform us immediately. In the event of any guest infection during their stay we also request that we are informed so that appropriate measures can be taken.

General information
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time. In case the above terms and conditions do not sufficiently foresee in any case, Tara Hill Estate will decide regarding this issue.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your break at anytime. However, the refundable amount will depend on the amount of notice received as outlined below

Number of days before arrival date that cancellation notice is received by us;

More than 70 days: 100% refund less deposit

Between 56 - 70 days: 100% refund less deposit

Between 28 - 56 days: 50% refund less deposit

Between 7 - 27 days: 25% refund less deposit

Between 2 - 7 days: 12.5% refund less deposit

Less than 2 days: No refund

 

If we issue you with a refund, we will return your money in the same way you made your original payment.

 

If we need to cancel your break a replacement break to the same value as the one you booked will be offered. If your new break is more expensive, you will be required to pay any additional cost. If your new break is less expensive, we will refund the difference.

 

COVID 

The same cancellation policy outlined above applies to any COVID related cancellations. We can however offer rescheduled dates and deposits or full payments can be carried across to the new dates providing the dates are like for like. For instance, a regular weekday booking cannot be rescheduled to a bank holiday weekend unless additional costs are accounted for. For any clarification and assistance on this please contact us.  

In all cases, except personal injury or death, our liability to you for the total of all claims arising out of your break with us is limited to the cost of your booking less any cancellation, amendment or separate charges.

Please take in consideration that the arrival date starts at 00.00 hour local time. Should you cancel or modify within 48 hours before arrival, or in case you do not show up, 100% of the first night will be charged.

Privacy Policy 

 

This privacy policy sets out how Tara Hill Estate uses and protects any information that you give Tara Hill Estate when you use this website. Tara Hill Estate is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. 

 

Tara Hill Estate may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 24.2.20. 

 

What we collect 

We may collect the following information:  

name and job title  

contact information including email address  

demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests  

other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers 

 

What we do with the information we gather 

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:  Internal record keeping. We may use the information to improve our products and services. We may periodically send promotional email about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.  From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests. 

 

Security 

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. 

 

How we use cookies

You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question. 

 

Controlling your personal information 

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:  whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes  if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at info@tarahillestate.com. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable.
